All Serecites are Micas, but not all Micas are Serecites.

What does this really mean? Serecite is similar to plain uncoated Mica in chemical composition, but Mica and Serecite are not quite the same ingredient. However, the International Nomenclature Committee does not recognize Serecite as a separate ingredient. We use Serecite in our foundations, but in order to follow the labeling requirements, we have to list it by the INCI (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient) Name, which is Mica.

That is why all Serecites are Micas, but not all Micas are Serecites.
